Community Defibrillator

Community DefibrillatorWe are delighted to have a community defibrillator in the Parish, which was funded by Bedford Fire Service & Bedford Borough Council.

It has been installed outside the Village Shop on Silver End Rd.

Anyone dialling 999 reporting an incident that sounds like cardiac arrest will be invited to use the defibrillator if they wish to, & will be given the access code to open the box to collect it.

The defibrillator will not function unless it determines there is a need, so please don’t worry – you cannot cause any harm.Using a defibrillator increases survival from cardiac arrest from 5% to 50%. Lee Martin is our local Community Defibrillator co-ordinator.
